Virtual pop star
Apparently this is a big thing in Japan. This holographic pop star named Hatsune Miku, technically termed a Vocaloid, developped by Yamaha, is a hit in Japan. I suppose there might be a market for it, but I wouldn't be going any concert of this kind. Interesting though.

from a concert point of view, Gorillaz is kinda same concept...except the band members are actually voiced by real people. Miku-chan is synthesized voice that's completely computer generated.
