This is some nice guitar playing.

Incidentally, this song is kind of a contemporary popular cover choice:

Here's the real one, but not an official video.

Wow, I really admire artists that can fill in the bass, voice and percussion while playing the melody.

I never really "got" open tunings - I dig guys who make that work. What's funny is he's doing a bunch of slap bass techniques through that.

I kinda like this Crazy:

And we're doing a version of this tune (with some Long Train Runnin' tossed into the middle. Ray was the man...this is absolutely sick. Listen how he does a ritard into the verse

Thanks for the "Crazy" songs, Jeremy. (I've heard it before but didn't pay it much attention. I don't listen to Top40 or whatever the kids call it these days.)

I like each version for the interpretation by the artist. I like the Paulo Nutini version the best, though. It ALMOST rocks but not really enough to change the song drastically.

BTW-that Nelly chick is quite the looker!!!

I don't know the song, either... but Don Ross covers it well. But then again, I'm a sucker for finger-style guitar!

Like the Don Ross version--very nice.

But come on, he did not chew gum and sing while playing. Greg could play some but then there is Carl Palmer (#3 drummer) and Keith Emerson( #1 keyboards) to compete with in their band of 3.

If you like that playing by Don Ross check out Michael Hedges--he did everything Don was doing, but did it 20 years ago...

Guys you can't forget Edgar Cruz, he's and Okie and one helluva guitarist. There is a local eatery that you can catch him at a few times a year. He sits in the corner and just jams by request all night.

The A.R.T of Edgar Cruz, video shot by me handheld at a local show.

Interestingly enough Micheal Hedges is from OK too.... Not everything from OK is bad (except that one guy from that band BHTM)....

Another Edgar Cruz. The medley on the fly is different at every show, he takes a bunch of crowd requests and then links them all together.....

I saw Michael Hedges perform at a NAMM concert several years ago. Also heard Tommy Emmanuel and Lawrence Juber. all fantastic guitarists!

You mean many years ago. Sadly he died in a car crash in 1997.

Hedges is one of my music heroes.

Yep,
It was a long time ago, as I get older, the years tend to fly by...

slight topic deviation - I dig Pink's version of Crazy. The band is incredibly tight:
