I traveled thanksgiving from LAX to PDX... no scan... no pat down... Sniff... sniff... where is the love? Even wore my best hello kitty silk undies...

Went through the scanner at EWR, no big deal.
What I don't understand is why the theatrics, when you can go in the airport and pick up 'banned items' like knives and forks. This was taken at a bar in EWR terminal, all of the counters were set with silverware, knives and forks at tables:
