Anyone carry a subcompact Glock regularly?

I'm not asking because I want a Glock. Springfield Armory is now making a compact version of my gun. I'm thinking of selling my gun to fund the purchase of the compact. The compact is about the same size and weight as the Glock subcompacts.

I've got an SA XDM 9mm with a 4.5" barrel. Then they came out with the same gun with a 3.8" barrel (yeah, didn't make much sense to me either). Now they make the 3.8 with a compact grip. Since I took my CHL Class on Sat and mailed the paperwork on Mon....

So who carries a baby Glock and likes it?

I have a Glock 27 and really like it. Not sure if the 27 is considered compact?

I too, am interested in this, looked at 1 tonight. The trigger is the only thing I don't like. I may have to get over it. There's a video on this , I'll try to find

I have the baby XD, not the baby XDM, but I can see carrying it. It is pretty bulky compared to an LCP, but definitely doable. Jumpy little sucker though.

I love my XDM. the trigger does take a little getting used to. It's not really SA or DA, but something in between.

I have the G27 (.40). I don't regularly carry but I like it a lot and, surpirsingly accurate at 20-25 yards. Getting the +1 mag extensions is a big help for getting the pinky around the bottom of the grip for more stability, but some might not want the extra bulk.

SA XD is, for all intents, damn near an identical gun to the G27, except for the thumb-web safety on the back. I don't care for that safety and it gets to making for a sore thumb web at the end of a range day.

Get the Glock night sites.

The cool thing is that with the extended mags, the grip is full length. Hopefully, someone will come out with a baseplate with a pinky extension to help when you don't have the ext mag in.

With the extended mags I can go 16+1 and still have a fairly small gun...

Wow... I think a glock lover may have shot that first video! Bias much?

I have shot the M&P, in fact my uncle would have made me a helluva deal on one, it doesn't fit his hand. Guess what? It doesn't fit mine either, it just wasn't comfortable to shoot.

I've got the Glock 36. 45acp 6+1 w/ two finger grip. too short so i got Pearce +1 grip ext.'s Don't like how it rubs my middle finger's knuckle(i've got pretty fat fingers though) so i'm getting ready to put it on gunbroker. light @ under 21 OZ empty, and i do like the way it shoots, it just don't "fit" me.

sid: you've got a great gun, probably better than mine, but in my application I only need 1-2-3 shots, its real fast and OVER and it needs to be light, plus it's not the only gun I've got

What application are you in that more rnds wouldn't be helpful? If 3 does the job, 13 really does the job.

I would like to shoot a glock for comparison. I had shot an XD and when it came time to buy the XD SC met all my requirements and I was comfortable with it.

I carry a G21 as a duty weapon. I carry a G27 off duty.

I am not a Glock fan.

I carried a Stainless Colt Combat Commander .45 for 12 years both on and off duty at my old department. My current department doesn't trust us to carry single action guns.

I also have a G23 that I am not sure that I have ever fired.... I wish I could trade it for a .38 lightweight 5 shot...

Glocks are popular because they are easy for retards to shoot. At least that is my opinion.

But back to the G27, it is a very capable concealable weapon. Decent capacity and like another guy said, you can carry extra high capacity mags in your vehicles and if the situation presents itself, you can pop in a full size mag and have the added stability.

If Honda made a gun, it would be a Glock...
