What is the best search engine these days for flying?
I might be looking to fly in a few months and was looking to see the best way (if there even is one) to book a flight. I have used all the familiar ones (Expedia, Travelocity, Priceline, etc. along with going directly to the carrier websites like SouthWestern.) I am getting real tired of playing the best price game and was wondering if there is a simplified way lately. What have you used? Looking to fly from Pittsburgh to Denver in March for some skiing. Thanks.

I still like travelocity or hotwire as it's easier to play with dates, once I find the flights I always go to the airline and book them as they are usually cheaper.

Kayak.com seems to be fairly popular.

I like Kayak... they include travelocity, expedia, priceline and hotwire in their search.

I've used Matrix - ITA Software for years. You can't book through them. But, they will find the lowest fares and best options easily.

It looks like the best price so far is SouthWestern booked directly through them since they don't participate with any 3rd party booking sites. Thanks so far.

I use the search engines to find the cheapest flight, then compare with SWA and go directly to the airline. Will never book through Expedia or Travelocity again.

It always seems to be the same airlines every time. United, SW Hawaiian, Delta and stop there. Search engines are a pain and god (or allah) help u if they screw up your ticket and u need help on the day of the flight.
DELTA bring a bunch of magazine since they are never on time anyhow.
