Mud Slide Slim
I hope you are all doing ok down there in SoCal. Every weather report up here says "sure, it's wet, but it's worse in SoCal..." then they show some video of mud flows.
So far, no video of houses flowing ... |

Just a steady light rain in San Clemente. Saw plenty of surfers out today, but no houses.

Give it a week. They closed PCH north of Kanan road for a rock fall near Pt. Mugu.
The mountain roads seem fine. CalTrans has been on top of things running their rock plows. Tomorrow is supposed to be thunderstorms. That might put some places over the edge. We must be near the saturation limit. Been raining since Friday. Worst rain in 10 years. This after 116 degree heat in September/October. The funny thing is the rest of the winter was pretty warm and dry.

Looks like it's supposed to clear out at LAX at least by Wednesday evening. Stay safe down there, and keep the airport open!
(got a connection through there on Thursday...)

Thanks for the thought. I seem to be fine. The distance from the slope behind me that burned a few months ago are 3 or 4x their heights from my house. But it has been raining a lot. I'm in the foothills, so we've gotten about 12" of rain in the past week.
