Cool Rain sux, near disaster! ;-)

I don't know how you people in the PNW deal with it.

I just finished putting up a plastic sheet over my 8' sliding glass window because the carpet was getting damp inside, guess the rain was overcoming the drain thingy at the bottom of the window. It's not really wet but in bare feet you can feet it.

I was worrying that the carpet will start to smell all moldy but it's 'sposed to be dry and at least partly sunny for the next few days so I can dry it out.

I know it's not as bad as plastic lawn chairs blown over, but it's close!

We're used to it

BTW - you can grow mushrooms in the wet carpet.

Normally I enjoy the rain, but enough is enough.

Send it our direction, the desert (and our lakes) can use the rain!

But but but, it was raining hard! Storm watch 2010!
It's stopped now but for a while there it was touch and go.

To put in in perspective, we're 'sposed to get as much rain today as we got in all of 2006-2007 season.
Oh wait, it just started raining again.

Anyone know how long 300 cubits is? I hate the metric system

It really doesn't rain here and much as we say it does. We just say that to keep the Californians from moving up...

My daughter was in Utah this past week snowboarding but she had to come back early because of a blizzard.
I gots no idea what a trip to the mountains has to do with an ice cream drink from dairy queen, go figure.

I cain't figure out how a 17 year old can afford to go snowboarding all over the country when I cant, the wife says its because of her straight A's.
When I was her age we never got any money from the school at all no matter how good our grades were.

It was kinda cool though, she was describing Brighton and snowbird in detail so I could picture what it was like.
I didn't tell her I went skiing at Brighton, Snowbird, and Alta at least 20 times a year when I was a kid.

They deal with it in the PNW with Blue Tarps. They are everywhere. "You can grow mushrooms in the wet carpet". Now that's funny.

Heh heh. Ventura Blvd is a river right now. If you had a toy boat, you could actually sail it from one submerged sidewalk to the other.

Two of the girls in my office just walked across the street 15 min ago to the Walgreens to get a snack. They just called the office to ask if someone will drive over and pick them up because they can't get back.

Exactly!! I was at Kennedy Space Center once with a guy from SoCal and we had a typical afternoon rain shower. He freaked out because it was raining. Right in the middle of a meeting he ran over to the window and was amazed by the rain. The rest of us were like, "Umm...yeah. It's raining outside. You're not from around here, huh?"...

Pics have been posted on heavy rains that depicted a plastic lawn chair knocked askew.

Lame joke.....
