Ok Speaker guys..

Took a gamble today on a pair of speaker at the same place I bought the JBL's from a few months ago.
This is a pair of Studio Monitors. Exactly like these
Acoustic technology Studio Monitor DL 6.2 (eBay item 220713881895 end time 28-Dec-10 23:54:11 AEDST) : Electronics

For $50, I took the chance. Very little or nothing online that I can find...

Anyone heard of these before?
Two places called Acoustic Technology exist currently. Neither one built them according to my research.

Hoping not. I didn't find anything listed using the name or model number being white van, and I googled the heck out of it...

They're probably worth at least $50. I doubt you pulled a fast one on anybody, though.

Seriously, I want to get down there. This will be the third year in a row I've missed it. Not doing the business any good, either...

Picked these up at a local thrift store. I picked up some very nice JBL's for the same price there a couple months ago. And an 80's 4x12 Peavey cabinet for $15 as well.
If they suck arse, I suppose I could use the cabinets and drop some decent speaker's in 'em.

I'm guessing White Van or just some low level import. As a thrifter, I see white van speakers all the time. Sometimes they're still in the box with the packing material.

Though Acoustic Technology is not mentioned, there's a good list of common White Van brands here:

Yeah, I coulnd't find them mentioned either till I did some really deep digging. There's a company in Australia called Acoustic Technology too, but they said they weren't made by them.
I wound up taking them back for store credit today. While I was there, I spoke to a guy who worked there... he knows about White Van, and I pointed out several other speakers that there there and White Van. He wants to chuck 'em all but they won't let him.

I almost scored a vintage 60-70's synthesizer there yesterday too, but it walked away while I was struggling to look stuff up on my phone...bad connection. $20 they wanted. Worth $$$$$$.

There was another pair of sdpeakers there today too.. late 70's hi-Fi stuff. I forget the brand, but pretty high up there it seems. Didn't buy 'em... surrounds torn and center pushed in May think about it though...
