Well, it has to be at a proper drinking temperature, right? The middle of summer in Texas? One ice cube when you're outside in the summer smoking your cigar, thank you very much.

Too hot is just as bad as too cold (which I agree with, btw). It's why you can drink ale in the UK at room temperature but not really in the states. It's also why uncellered red wine is put in the fridge for 15 or so minutes in the hot summer here.

And just for the record, a dram of Lagavulin 16 neat is set up for me this evening.
