same #105 error comes up when rebooting to that burned CD
I am reminded of a famous Louisiana saying used in a movie... it goes like: if things are defintely not working out well... then be like a crawfish and back on out of there. |

Good that it is fixed. So, how does it run? What are the performance results? Run the "Windows Experience" and report it out.

to me, the slowest problems with ye olden XP computer (Dell 8300; about 8 years old) are booting up, and loading a bunch of pgms - esp. any of the hated Adobe products will run Win Experience & see what it sez |

latest excitement is that Outlook 2000 will not work on Win 7 (!)
I can buy the new version of Office (in its entirety) for $24 (501c3) but we have to order 5 copies. Instead I bought (I hope) a copy of Outlook 2003 which is supposed to work on Win 7 from some online place for $30. I'd put everything in the cloud if [1] I trusted the cloud, and [2] could access the cloud way out in the boonies. |

Office 2k3 works just fine on Windows 7. Since I can stand the interface on Office 10 I still use 2k3.
Oh, and if at all possible, stay away from Western Digital in the future. I'm a tad biased since they burned me on a very large scale with their junk Caviar 1.2's back in the day, but I still see a ton of failures with them even to this day.

Any rotating disk will report under 6. The SSDs report in the 7's.
I used a 64GB Adata drive for a new PC and it is super fast. The Kingstons don't seem to be as fast.

What's wrong now? I'm using Office 2003 with multiple machines, no problems.
