Blizzard of 12-26-10 photos

Looks like most of the east coast will get a nice snowfall.
Hoping the power stays on, lights have been flickering.

Here is Raleigh at 830 AM

I have a feeling all the brine sprayed on the highways was a waste of $$

Keep warm and stay safe everyone

We've got about 5" here in eastern Chatham co, and still falling pretty good.

I wanna see 2 feet like we had back in 2000. We had just moved to Carpenter, and didn't really know any of our neighbors yet. My wife (originally from western NY) started to build an igloo in the front yard, and so of course, I joined in the building. Soon we had a 6' tall igloo, and at least a half-dozen curious neighbors walking over to meet, greet, and welcome us to the community.

I'm stuck on the Jersey Shore and have never missed AZ so much. God, I can't wait to get home. My folks won't even let me take their car to the gym on the mainland.

Actually, I'd take this snow over the week long monsoon LA got about a year ago when I was stranded there on my bike and had to rent a car to get around.

Heading here tonight. Could be upwards of 20" snowfall. All the cars are put away and secured, I've got ample spare fuel for the generators and heaters, plenty of spare food and the snowblower is all prepped. Of course it could all turn to rain too - rain falling along the coast right now.

Glad I'm off Monday. Sounds like a good day to stay inside and work on the 911.

Getting into work Tuesday shouldn't be as bad (I'm hoping). Should be interesting for the next 24 hours or so.

Rick, are you still paying the penalty of something you did when you were a kid perhaps ?

The snow is just starting to stick to the ground here and tonight's Eagle's game has been postponed. We are supposed to get between 10 and 20 inches of snow here tonight.

Main highway's in my area are mostly clear and in better condiiton then the one inch snowfall we had the other week. Warmer temps and the snow was light and fluffy helped.

Black ice will be the thing to watch out for since it is supposed to drop into the teens tonight.

Looking forward to 60 degree weather in New Years day

Thanks for the pretty pictures, guys.

Still just grey and dreary rain in the Seattle area.

It's really nice here on the six days a year we get to see the Sun.
