Did I say it was world beating? Don't think I did...it's just a well balanced car with good handling that will turn mid to high 13's in the quarter in stock trim, no drag radials, etc.. But there is quite a bit more to a Bullitt Mustang than paint & a strut brace.

Nope, I NEVER pay "additional dealer markup"...Actually bought mine as the '10 models were arriving at the dealership, so I payed around $5K under sticker...one easy (?) payment...

I agree that V8s sound better than inline 4s, but...

I enjoy Paul's posts, but every time I see the minty fresh S, I look at the radio antenna and think, WTF.

Must be a record for Egan...he's had this Bullitt Mustang for well over a year...And he wrote of storing it for the winter to avoid rust.

I converted to CB back in the 70's...smokey reports by truckers were/are more effective than the best radar detector, especially the detectors of that era.

Evren has the original antenna & all it's mounting hardware should he care to revert to stock. But last time we talked about it, he mentioned doing some "rewiring" of the CB to make it work on Turkish frequencies.

Heck, I recently sold a 4-door Audi sedan that would do the quarter in the high-twelves. While listening to Verdi, and drinking an espresso... All stock, no drags radials, etc...

I like Mustangs as much as the next guy but I'd rather hear more about that old green S...

Uhhhh, not quite. I'll leave "yeller" headlites to certain gruppies...poor guys are so behind the times, they don't know that France went to clear headlight lenses decades ago.

Dig the HID lights on my Mustang...wow, they work better than the hopped up H-1's did in the old 911S.

Don't see any yeller headlights here...Randy, you're a sick-oh if you do.

Buy a June '95 back issue of the mag EXCELLENCE...read away. It's just a P-car now living in Istanbul...

A Bullitt Mustang is faster, more comfortable, a better overall car for driving than a 1972 911S...

Yeah, so is a Boxster. Still, I like your old S. Right color, right year, right options...

Of course it is. Its 38 years newer. A 944 is more comfortable, etc than an old 911 too.

I park in a commuter lot every day. There are 2 Bullit mustangs in the lot evry day. Even when the snow is out. The horrors. They do charge a premium to park next to them.

Dude, I'm in college, within a mile radius from my apartment I can round up more mustangs than I care to count, and even several bullets. About 95% of them are driven by chicks too.

Look closer, half of what appear to be female driver's from afar are most likley mullets. Common mistake. :)

I have a standing bet with my brother that each time we sell a mustang it's to a stripper. I'm up like $10 right now betting on the strippers. Always cash, in their 20's to early 30's, occupation listed as "exotic dancer" or "escort." If we get a convertible in we might get a cat fight over it.

I had a GT Mustang and even a Boss 302. Nifty cars that are definitely fun to drive (on dry roads) and a different experience than the early 911. Unbelievably, I was debating between an early S and the 302 back in the mid 90's and ended up getting sucked in by the Boss. After watching them on the vintage race circuit, I just had to have one. Honestly, the Boss was cool, but the 911 is a much better drive. Shoulda gotten an early S...

2001 sticker...ancient history.

Say, can anyone post a youtube link to a top 40 song written about a 944?
