As a kid growing up, I used to lust after BBS Wheels on any car I would own in the future...this is sad to read. One of the few names associated with fine automobiles, racing and quality parts.

I read this a few days ago, so I didn't visit your links, but the summary was that BBS was restructuring so they could focus on motorsports racing wheels and BBS branded aftermarket wheels..... back to their roots. So they're getting away from private brand wheels (ASA, etc) and some o.e. (non BBS branded) wheels. The restructuring was necessary to split things up. Or so I recall reading.

It has happened a lot in the aftermarket. Holley (the carburetor people) have gone BK twice in the past 4 years. Fikse closed their doors & are coming back with new owners. Kinesis was absorbed into another company...

Crane Cams is still around. Declaring bankruptcy doesn't mean going out of business. It's a "reset" with creditors.

That's so true...

Even the local businesses that make head stones for graves are feeling it.
You can order a head stone in any language made in China and shipped to the grave yard direct.
It takes about 6 weeks to arrive and it's about half the price of the locally made ones.

But are they safe with all that Chinese lead in them?
