Security System/Security Cameras

I am moving into a building and I need to install a system.
I want to be able to "see" everything from my Home computer.
Has anyone ever done this?

There are lots of options out there now, and you can even forward to your phone. I have seen some basic systems at Home Depot, but all depends on how much you want to spend.

126 Coupe: I recently installed 8 cams, 4 on the inside of my shop, 1 in the office, 2 on the outside looking at my fenced yard & gate & 1 on the outside looking at the parking lot & office entrance. All this is connected to a DVR that can go back 30 days. I'm a Contractor with about 12-14 employees. When I'm not there, I'm "there". I'ts a nice set-up and I can watch my crews load up & un load, check time in & out. If there's a issue, I can check the alarm pad, see who came in, go back in time on the DVR and see what's up. Also, everyone now know's that there's an "eye" on things all the times.

My friend who has a alarm / camera business did the system and I'm in to it for about $4,000.

I use these at my office, my house, and a rental-

They work great once you get them going, and not too expensive.

The instructions are a bit sketchy sometimes

If you want to use the web to monitor remotely, you will need on site internet access with a static IP address.

some factors to consider:

- wired or wireless

- motion sensitive or not

- view it all the time or recording

- night vision or illuminated areas

- resolution

I can point you in the direction of some professional systems folk if you would like. As with everything, you get what you pay for.
