Need to find bronze threaded rod

I'm looking for bronze thread rod for an application on my boat. It needs to be a 3' long piece of 1/4" x 20 thread. No one seems to have it. Not at home dept, lowes or my local Ace Hardware. Where can one find this stuff?

I found some places online for around $30 plus shipping. I may have to go that route. Who knew bronze was so expensive!?! The stainless steel version of this rod is like 6 bucks.

SS and bronze are generally considered interchangeable on a boat. Why not SS ?

That's not always the case, most SS shouldn't be submerged. Plus, sometimes bronze just looks right.

it needs to fit in a seawater strainer that is bronze. so the whole dissimilar metals thing. it could get ugly. i'm better off keeping it the same.
