That's the latest one, but I couldn't find the others. Are they out there somewhere?

masraum 01-20-2011 11:39 AM

This is funny. Straight from James May, the US guys are going to be better in the long run.

Hey, I found something that Adam Ferrara did before TG!!:D

"Paul Blart, Mall Cop".

He plays a NJ cop.

Just listened to a podcast from Tanner Foust (on autoweek.com).

He's a pretty good guy, and honestly he seems more at ease "live" than on those scripted shows... He acknowledges that the biggest problem with TG USA is that it is called "Top gear"

I agree, taken in isolation it's the best car show in the US, easily... he said they were meeting shortly to decide if there was going to be a season 2, but the last episode (alaska) drew great ratings, 2M viewers on first view, which is fantastic for the History channel.

I for one hope there is a season 2. No, it's not as "funny" as TG UK, but there is room for a show about cars, in HiDef, made in America. Plus, it just might get better (season 1 and 2 of TG UK sucked, I have downloaded it, I know).

Anyhow, cool interview, listen if you can, he talks about the race of champions, meeting F1 drivers, Paul Tracy, his career... interesting !

Inproving for certain. See the early Top Gear shows? Dull...lifeless drudgery.

While not saying much, Tanner seems to be the smartest and most personable of the bunch.

Craig 930 RS 02-09-2011 09:49 AM

VMMV but he is IMNSHO the snottiest little f'in bastard.

cunningly hidden under "tanner Foust" ;-)

Imagine if it were Adam Corrola and Jay Leno and maybe Jerry Sienfield. These are real car guys and funny.

No doubt, but both of those Jay & Jerry would likely break the budget. Neither of them need the money and Jay is busy with his toys.

Jay could have a great TV show about nothing more than his own collection.

He does, sort of. He's got a ton of videos on his website.

I like the idea of Adam C and Jay L, but I'm not sure about Jerry S. I know he's a Porsche guy, but I'm not sure if his persona would translate for this sort of show.

I'm quite enjoying season 2. I think all three guys are funny.

Even though they are doing a lot of episodes with trucks, 4x4s and off-roaders. ?

Episode five has tanner driving the Gt2RS

I am not. I do not. I think it is just as bad or worse than season 1.

I agree.

The GT2RS segment was alright. They should have gone to Willow Springs or something, though. I can't remember. Did it do a lap at El Toro?

Why is the fat guy winning all the challenges? They should spread the wins a bit more like TG UK.

In other news, I loved TG UK premire. Amy Williams the skeleton bobber is hot. :)
