A Tough Choice..........

Yep, I passed up a King Sighted Shooting Master! It was in "ok" condition and had what looked to be a set of Lew Sanderson grips. I don't know what it was about that particular Colt, but it just did not "feel" right. One thing that I have learned over the years is to trust my intuition. Here is a picture of the Shooting Master:

Will I regret it someday? Probably. Meanwhile I am on the track of a stock Colt Shooting Master in 45 long Colt with a 7 1/2" bbl. Also have a lead on a 6" bbl SM marked .44 Russian! I have seen pictures and both look to be in mint condition.
More to follow!!!

A SM with 7.5 inch barrel is called a NS TGT...and while not growing on trees are a bit hard to come by.

How much was the 357 SM, and ya shouda bought it...it does appear to be straight.

Colts, Colts, Colts.........

The .357 Shooting Master with the King sights went for about $2,800.00 if I remember correctly. A little gun shop in Fitzgerald, Ga. had it.

That SM 357 Colt King Super Target is RRRRRRAAAAARE... but is priced for what it is worth...and for me there are too many other things I would like for the same money. If it had been under 2 well then that might have been another story.
