It was 2 deg F this morning, but is 15 deg F this afternoon and sunny..... Will probably go out and do some laps on the pond with the old ATC later this afternoon for kicks. We sure could use some more snow here in NW Ohio.

Pic from my shop window.

Ha! Everything starts nowadays. No problems.

OTOH, we have a 2004 Ford Explorer 4.0 SOHC in inventory that was sitting in our home driveway on the -24F morning. I went out and started it, no issues, just popped off. I went inside to get the girls ready and in their car seats. Went out 15 minutes later to see a large frozen pond under the truck and steam coming from under the hood. It must have blown a radiator, water pump, or hose. Nice. It was so cold I just waited a couple hours then drove it to my shop, never got hot. Now I get to pay for the repair

I just realised that he wasn't even asking about the weather. The title says, "whether" out side your window.

He really P-owned us, or whatever it's called.

When I was in school (a loooong time ago) they taught us this rhyme to keep the words straight:
"Whether the weather is cold
Or whether the weather is hot
We'll weather the weather
Whatever the weather
Whether we like it or not"

And today, I gotta tell you, I'm not particularly pleased.
The water in the barn was frozen, so the fastest thing to do was to lug four buckets from the house to get water to the horses, then get a heat gun out to thaw the pipes coming up from under the floor. Mission accomplished.

However, it is still about -15C with another 15 degrees of wind chill. It isn't snowing, but the cold air is picking moisture up from the Bay of Fundy and dropping it here in the Annapolis Valley. We'll end up with a couple of inches of the stuff by the time the wind drops tonight.

This is the time of year I keep the countdown firmly in mind: Only 6 weeks to Maple season! Only 5 weeks...

Cheers
Les

Something like this. It's not from today, but it wasn't too long ago.
