Panorama late this month?

Have any of you PCA members received your January 2011 Panorama yet? It's the 17th already and mine isn't here.

We usually get it the last week of the month, after events have already happened, classified ads have already been sold, etc etc.
Panorama is the worst club magazine out there. Complete throw away.

I don't think they hit mailboxes until the middle of the month. Why our members receive a January issue in the middle of January is on my list of things to get fixed.

fwiw, I haven't received mine either.

I agree it doesn't have much value, except for the occasional tech article by Alan Caldwell.

But each month they have an article on the progress of the longhood Porsche is restoring for the spring raffle....which I am going to win. So I'm keeping the issues that have these articles, to add to the documentation that will come with the car.

Panorama?? It's great!! I got the inside info on what's in the January edition:

"Micheal Macht burped. Obviously it was the greatest burp ever heard and Porsche engineers are feverishly working to incorporate that sound in the new 991/Panamera optional super sport exhaust and Burmeister 26 speaker 12000 watt sound system. Not that they need to because the new Panamera/Cayenne/991 is already the greatest car ever produced and if you don't like the steering wheel shift buttons you just need to get over it because it says Porsche besides they sold a zillion of them already and they're flying me over business class putting me up in a five star again so I can take more pictures and fawn obediently. Here just for your enjoyment and because we know you put these on your bedroom wall the way Betty Joe and I do is a full page picture of Micheal Macht burping and five pages of the comments he made following the burp."

Seriously Manny has a battle ahead of him so let's wish him Godspeed.

I bought a CPO car, so I get Christophorus. Its doesn't even have enough content to make it through one sit on the toilet. The latest issue has an article about driving your Panamera through Panama. Yeah, thats something I was planing on doing.

I think they recycle them, what a waste of a tree.

I get Christophorous too. I thought the Panama article was in extremely poor taste. I've visited there a number of times- rampant poverty, disease, malnutrition, gang violence etc.

Not the place to flaunt an overpriced sedan....exrtremely dumb to publish it.

Excellence OTOH is probably the best car magazine I know of. Every month they find something interesting, new and exciting. I don't know how they do it.

I have to agree, Excellence is light years ahead of the rest. It helps when you have a staff of professional writers producing a for profit magazine.

I have a two foot high stack of Excellence's (and Motorsport) I just gave to a co-workers kid who likes cars. Might as well start 'em young.

But I'm afraid I will miss them later. The magazine rack next to the loo is pretty empty.

Dang, you need to pull some strings - LOL!!! Now I dont feel left out. I mean if YOU can't get yours on time...

Seriously, all joking aside. It would probably benefit your advertisers to have the magazine delivered in a more timely fashion. Especially for anyone advertising an event.

My Panorama hasn't come in 4 years. Don't have much in common with the water pumper crowd. My favorite question at the breakfast, "what is a 912?"
