not quite right...its the little black strips "points" that indicate the pelt trade value.

i have a 3.5point blanket. mom said it was rare years ago. sized to fit my xl twin bed my grandfather made for my uncle decades ago. i still have the bed frame and the blanket in my guest bedroom.

They are about as rare in Canada as weak beer and 44 magnums are in the US.

I think the RCMP can and will arrest you if you don't have one somewhere in your house in Canada, (and I believe if you live in Quebec you have to have the matching jacket).

They are quite expensive to buy now but there are always lots on ebay for a fraction of the price.
