Hudson Bay Trappers blanket who has 'em?

Anyone have one of these blankets? Ive had one since I was a teen. Warm as hell. I went on Evil bay to look one up, holy crap. I cant believe what some the older ones go for. Seen really old some sell for close to $700

Not mine, but same exact one.

Being an ex-Rev War era reinactor......you'll need to look at those shops who provide period equipment

Look up on the internet

I already have one. I had another one. My mom bought for me when i was back in Boy Scouts, but i left that one up at camp. She wasnt too happy about that. Mine is late'70s vintage. Still in great shape.

You can still get them from The Bay.
$275 to$475
Just google hudson bay company, then click on the collection. Then on the left you will see categories. Click on blankets and throws and you will see them.

There's a classic beauty about them. The exquisite, timeless design, the performance, the heritage. Every kid grows up wanting one. Once you get bit by the bug it's almost cult-like.

Indians traded beaver pelts for 'em. The number and color of stripes determines how many and the quality of pelts it cost or soemething like that. 100% wool. Extremely warm.

I(we) have a few at my families place in rural Vermont... We also have bunch of Pendelton wool blankets in the linen closets and chests...going to sleep with the slowly receding scent of of moth balls is memory of childhood...

Love the scent of Naptha in the morning

I never would have imagined that old blankets would increase in value like this...

I used to try and wear a home made blanket capote when hunting our muzzle loading seasons, or going to mountain man rendevous. "Try" is the operative word - it was just too damn warm for any kind of weather to be found in Washington. Heavy as hell, too. I wound up selling it for far more than the cost of the blanket I used to make it.

I always had those on my bed as a kid... scratchy as hell.... gawd I hate those damn blankets. I thought they were from my dad's stint in the army.
