weekend is just getting better n better..:(

friday at the end of work, my contractor called and would like to work thru the weekend. no biggie, i come out of my office to grab the nearest newbie to get them to come in. only one young kid is seen. i ask him to cover sunday, and i called everyone to pawn off monday. well, the geniuses shut off their phone..i come in.

i wake up, take a shower with my hand in a plastic bag..get to the office at 6:00am. something felt off. i go in, disarm the alarm..look around. nothing. get my boots on, head out..i see a walkie talkie on the ground. i look around and there are fuel stains everywhere!! mofos drilled a bunch of gastanks, and broke windows!! they stole a battery, and used it to run a fuel pump. i think i surprised them coming in, and they just ditched hoses, tools.

CHP showed up and bagged everything. we set up a web cam to snap a pic every 10 secnonds,, but nothing. either the rain blocked the window, or it was just too dark. (they broke a window last week). they were pretty organized.

What? Huh? They were stealing Cat converters not too long ago, remember? Haven't heard much about that lately though.
gas is expensive when you got no money! (or want to re-sell it)

Damn, sorry to hear that. I can relate, bout 3-4 weeks ago, one of my landscape maint. crews was stopped at a red light ( 6:30 am and extremely foggy ) when two thugs ran up to the truck and grabbed two blowers in the bed then ran off into the dark & fog. The crew had just loaded up and were heading to the 1st job of the day. We have big cables and locks welded to the truck racks but from now on, we lock up as we load up.

Over the last 21 years, I have been ripped off many times.
