is anything sacred?

just popped some microwave popcorn and dumped into the bowl and noticed it did not fill up like the last time I popped it. Sure enough, now there is only 3 oz. vice 3.5 oz. Every microwave in calibrated for the standard 3.5 oz. bag. Why, oh god does everyone have to mess with a standard!!! Now they have gone too far.

Look how skinny the roll of toilet paper is compared to the holder.

Once upon a time the roll was 3/4 inches wider than today's rolls.

It's all about the "perceived value". The prices stay the same, but the servings get smaller.

Now that would be a tragedy. Good thing I homebrew: I'll just have to stock up on 12oz bottles while they're still available.

Do grown ups really eat popcorn? Sounds like a waste of calories.....

You could have beer.

I read an article a year ago or so that said that most bars had switched from 16oz mugs to 14oz mugs. They can't in the UK because the "pint"glass is regulated by the government.

That's strange when you think about it, because the average rear has grown a lot over time.
