Two US airmen shot dead at Frankfurt airport | Herald Sun

"A GUNMAN has fired shots at US military personnel on a bus outside Frankfurt airport, killing two people and wounding two before being taken into custody.
The attack came as the US air force personnel were about to fly home from Germany.

"Two airmen have been killed and two were wounded during a shooting incident today at Frankfurt International Airport," the US Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) said."

Interesting that they managed to catch the guy without shooting him 150 times. I wonder how they did that? Our police could probably learn something from the Germans.

Two things:

They will get more information from the bad guy alive.

The bad guy will wish he had been shot dead.

I read the perp was a 25 yrs. old Kosovar Muslim. He might be too young to remember that it was the US that saved his people from Serbian genocide about 15 yrs. ago.

Sadly I think the elephant in the room may be the Kosovo situation...there is so much unrest and trouble there on a constant basis and Russia is not coping well with dealing with it all.

To think that a Kosovar, even so young as he does not know his history...maybe he is a Muslim extremist first and a Kosovar second...I don't know...

When I worked at the Bayer factory in Leverkusen, most of the guys on my crew were Muslims, a few from Kosovo and a few from Macedonia. One was Egyptian. I was working there when the war broke out in Yugoslavia and some of those guys went home to fight on their vacation. One Serb in the factory had to be put on a different shift, as the Muslims would have made him have a dreadful accident. I got to know the Kosovars pretty well and they even took me to their local cultural center because I told them I had once had a chat with Bob Dole, who they thought was the only American who understood their plight. It was a pretty wild time. I never kept in touch with them when I left, as it was before email and they only spoke limited German anyway and no English. But I'm pretty sure the older guys there have a soft spot in their hearts for the US, especially given what we did for Kosovo a few years later. Really is a shame one of those younger fools could be so ignorant as to get radicalized to hate the country that liberated his people.
