The Other Guys

I just tried to watch this horrible movie. The worst part was near the beginning when they dropped a wrecking ball on a nice Chevelle Super Sport - black with white stripes. It always makes me cringe when they trash a nice car for the sake of a movie, but to ruin one for a minor scene in a POS like The Other Guys makes me want to puke. I can't think of other examples at the moment, but I know I've seen nice cars destroyed in a throw away scene in a bad movie too many times.

We are on the same page here, as I too hate to see classic cars destroyed, but most of the time they don't really destroy a nice car, but a made up junker..

I tend to watch TMC when I feel like a good movie

When I rented my truck to a production company we agreed that they could paint it and break out 3 windows. After they'd had it a couple of weeks they called and wanted to buy it. They said they wanted to "distress" it more. I refused. In the end they didn't break any windows, but they caved in the roof (an accident, they said) and smashed a hubcap.
I think they went to the local NAPA store and bought every part in stock for a '47 Dodge truck. When they were finished they gave me a big box with all the parts they bought, plus 3 rear window glasses and 2 windshields that they had made.

+1 ... Really crappy "comedy" with no laughs.

The timing was just off. It must have been really hard to make such a bad movie with Will Farrell.
"Marky Mark" should try something else.

Actually I think the Police Academy movies were better... Now that's saying something

I have been pretty lucky with guys that I have rented too and on the set of Basic, the director wanted my Black 911, but I told him it wasn't for sale, and a few other guys with the movie hit me up about selling it You guys have seen pix, it isn't that nice of a car..

I've rented my truck twice (Lost in Yonkers and A Painted House). The guys from Lost in Yonkers returned it in better shape than they took it, but they didn't pay much. The Painted House folks were a little rough on it, but I can't complain. They paid $8000 to rent a truck I paid $2500 for.

He is hard to take. Talladega nights was not just horrible and had a few funny moments. The rest of his movies are right up there with Pauly Shore movies. Unwatchable.

Apparently you are not in the correct "mind frame" that the target audience is expected to have...

Yea, that is because I have a mind.

I can't get drunk enough to make them funny. Alcohol is the only drug I use.

When the early Camaro (I think it was a '68 RS) was t-boned in 'Remember the Titans' I screamed. Loudly. In the theater. And it wasn't because there was a character I liked in the car.
