Big Windows patch day!

I applied all of the Windows patches for my Windows 7 64bit PC today and there were 21 individual patches that corrected 64 issues (we hope) and it took two reboots and about 30 minutes to download and apply the patches. The number of patches depends upon the software you have installed, so you have more or less than what I had waiting for me. Get your updates!!

Before you Linux and Apple/Mac guys even say it.... There have been many patches for those operating systems, too!

I had 32 updates installed today. Windows IE stopped working, so I un-installed them all.

Works better now.

What issues are you hoping to have corrected by the updates?

I am still running the RTM version from day one - zero updates = zero issues. Multiple machines in different networks.

Edit: Other than driver / firmware updates.

I always apply the updates, since they are mostly security-related and I've never had a problem with that approach. I've given up IE and FireFox and I'm using Chrome, which is fast and stable but I don't know how to do the "email this webpage" to someone... I still have to figure that out...

I also always apply patches. If I wasn't on the net 24x7, I wouldn't worry about it, but as stated, they are mostly security related... I'm a firefox guy. New FF 4 kicks butt.
