Ticket Reciprocity between states

Doing the CA Targa last week I received a ticket for doing 65mph in a 55mph zone last week. My question is will the points for this ticket in California transfer to my license in Pennsylvania. If so is there a way to minimize the impact to my driving record from out of state.

It also should be stated; the officer who issued the ticket was great.

Only have anecdotal.

When I got a ticket in Colorado the police officer said don't freak because colorado doesn't talk to California.

My old roommate got a ticket in CA while on a business trip a few years ago. He paid some sort of fine and did the online traffic school. It did not affect his license here in PA.

unless you were actually doing 85 in a 55 and were cited for 65 the officer was good but not great.
great would be an equipment violation instead of a speeder.

I had a CHP knock my speed down from 92 to 89 in a 70 (middle of the desert, no cars around for miles, got me with instant-on). I had VA plates on the car, so he may have figured I'd never pay. Still, I don't know why it's considered "officer discretion" instead of perjury when they fudge your speed on the ticket. They could write anything on there.

I got my rates raised for an equipment violation. It was for a "loud" muffler on my SC. It jacked my bikes and car rates. I called to complain, asked if they had ever heard of an accident caused by a loud muffler. No dice.

Equipment violations in CA are a "fix it" ticket. At least mine was a few years back (taillight burned out). The downside was getting an officer to verify the repair was done was a big PITA (went to local PD, they told me go to CHP, CHP didn't have anyone there that day who would do it, had to go back, etc...)

May or may not be the same for all equipment violations - not sure. I imagine a muffler citation would be if you could show that the system had been put back to stock, but dunno.

Ha! Cop told me it was a fix-it ticket, but I later found out there's no way to prove it was fixed. There's no decibel limit in the law, nowhere to go to show anything was changed and it would have amounted to my going to court and asking the judge to come out to the parking garage. Such a joke. I foolishly paid the ticket because I had a full price offer for the car before the court date and figured the $86 didn't really matter. Little did I know what that was going to do to my insurance.

Ca. is one of several non-compact states.

No, they could write anything lower.

If you were going 90, then you were by definition going 89 (to get to 90).

It's perjury no matter how you cut it. I was going over 89 for hours before he clocked me and he did not clock me at 89. He admitted as much. They can do whatever the hell they want because they're above the law and most judges will always take their side, even if they don't believe them. And writing me for an equipment violation when I was speeding is no less perjury. My speedometer isn't faulty and it's not a crime if it is. My latest ticket in NV got knocked down to a parking ticket when I was written for 20 over in a 70 zone. Oh yeah, it's not about the money, it's about safety and the law.
