Ethanol-free gas in Ventura County.

Have a need for Ethanol-free gas around Camarillo in August. Can't be AvGas, has to be Mogas. Anyone know the VP fuels distributor there?

TIA

Michael.

Check the farmer's co-ops...dunno about there, but the farm lobby pushed for and got an exemption in Oregon. I get my 92 octane no alcohol gas at a WILCO farmer's co-op near me.

It's funny, but did I mention this is in Kahleeeforneeah?

I am prepared to haul in the gas from the real world if I can't find it. I grew up right there, but things have changed, even more so lately.

I wouldn't count on it. Work in Camarillo live in Oxnard/Ventura area I don't know of a single normal pump station in the area that offers e0. Maybe a coop but I wouldn't bank on it.

Why not just use AVgas? Too much lead?

I've been wanting to ascertain whether the 76 100 Octane contains ethanol. Anybody know? If it doesn't then it may be a viable option for you. There is a station near my house off the 101, around 20 mins from Camarillo. It has gotten seriously spendy though...may be over $7/gal now.

Chris;

That is an idea. Thought those were all gone. The AMSoil we use for the two strokes doesn't mix with avgas. Uncle Sam is buying the gas.

Next time by, maybe you could verify that they still sell the race gas. No hurry, I have until August.

Fing FWIW, I use only Amsoil in my 2-stroke ultralight and have mixed it in 100LL several times on trips to and from Oshkosh in it. One of the little bottles to 5-5.5 gallons of gas.... I have about 250 or so hours accumulated on it and it still runs like new. I also now use 10% ethanol car gas in it.... runs fine when fresh, but will accumulate varnish in the carb bowl if it sits unused for months at a time.

I don't know, maybe we should ask? It might not be, since it is not normal highway vehicle fuel so it would not be under the ethanol mandate.

If it's for 2 strokes, check marinas...boaters had BIG problems with Gasahol here, it picking up water...Marinas in Oregon all sell no alcohol Gas.

I have always wondered how much smog is caused by the new gas.

My truck gets 17 on REAL gas but with food added to gas it get's 14-15 miles to the gallon.

HMM it cost me more at the pump, it cost me more on my taxes and performs less. Seems like a politicians wet dream.
