Band Trivia
It occurred to me that ZZ Top is likely the longest surviving rock n roll band that has never had a line up change.
Hill and Beard were not in the original lineup of Gibbons ZZ Top but they were the in the lineup that got signed and performed on every album. U2 is the only other band I come up with that has survived intact. The criteria is, have been around at least 30 years, were members when the band got signed, performed on every album, never left/returned and are still putting out new material as an active working band. Watcha got?

Cheap Trick had a line up change, bass player. Rush does not count because of Peart.

You mean as in George Thorogood and? Just a fun rock band...had no idea they were always the same group.

Think it was McDonald who looked around one day and said, "there's not one founding member of this band left, maybe we should call it a day".

They went under a different name when he joined them, which was only intermittantly. CSN remained a constant while periodically augmented to CSN&Y. It's still that way today. I've seen both CSN and Y seperately in the last two years, and they performed together up here as CSN&Y, but I missed that show.
