New 911 GT3 RS 4.0

They just won't stop!

Jalopnik - Drive Free or Die

Quote:
As we've detailed numerous times, the 911 GT3 RS 40's getting a 500-horsepower race-derived 4.0-liter dry-sump flat six for the ultimate way to die on the 'Ring.

The photos show the renders/leaks were correct and it's getting a race-inspired GT3 rear wing, painted front-and-rear carbon fiber fascias, and no tacky black GT2 touches. On the inside there's the expected navigation delete, what looks like Alcantara shift boot and steering wheel, racing seats with RS 4.0 badges, rear-seat rollcage, and weight-saving door release handles.

Porsche is expected to build 500 of them and sell them for some ungodly price some people will happily pay — people we'd trade places with like Eddie Murphy.

Perhaps if I can get my '84 up to a million miles in time, Porsche will offer me a trade............

Wowser! The colors! The special graphics! Reminds me of...another special edition with spoilers, splitters, and colors...

Yes Paul, because the Mustang is the only car on earth to ever have a special edition model with graphics. How innovative!

I think you know that answer. Hell I like the new Mustangs, it doesn't make his unsolicited trolling any less annoying.

Let me say it for all, "Fck a bunch of Mustangs."

Because of PPOT, I hate Mustangs. Every time I see one, I think there must be someone like pwd in the thing. They are right up there with Corvettes in my mind.

And they sound like sch!t. Just like every GD pick up with an X pipe installed.

Now, let's talk about a 500 HP six! That thing is awesome. I was driving around with 180 HP when I had the '71 S and that thing was plenty fast. Power to weight ratio was close to 1 to 13

The GT3 RS 4.0 figures to approach DOUBLE that!

Actually, I was knocking the graphics on both cars...but whatever. Maybe for a $50K car, Ford can doll it up for the high screwall set...for a 6 figure car? Porsche must figure PT Barnum was right...

Nice to know I can still get knees to jerk here...

OK, back to exciting stuff...

No you weren't. As usual you felt the need to attempt to one-up each and every post vaguely related to cars with some sort of totally irrelevant Mustang content. It's quite sad that you feel the need to constantly reaffirm your choice of vehicles in this forum, insecurity is normally something that fades with age. While I do believe that the new Mustangs are quite good, this is a Porsche enthusiast forum. By that virtue many of the folks here could care less about your Mustang, or any Mustang for that matter. There's a place for the constant discussion of Mustangs......it's called a Mustang forum. But you won't attract this much needed attention there, would you?

Really, that GT3 is pretty damned subdued compared to the ford. Silver on white doesn't scream like red on Black...

But, nevermind, you will hate anything to come out of the Porsche Werks....

Because it's not trolling?
I think it's funny.
But then, 3 out of 4 here
think I'm an idiot.

There is no way that one in four think you are not. I demand a recount.

i hear a lot of complaints about the new porsches having garish graphics, colored wheels, etc on here.

do the older members of the board think it looked goofy in 1973? (genuine question....i wasn't born until well after that)
