Watching that made me start a search of Elvis songs done in German. Perhaps a chap named Will Brandes recorded that version of "King Creole."

They are actually plastic strips with grooves cut into them. Like LP's. Think vinyl LP record with dozen grooves rolled out onto endless piece of plastic strip. There is a stylus in the player that can jump between the grooves.Bänder
