As your new personal advisor, this is a automated message from John70t at A Better You(tm). Here at A Better You(tm), we have fully integrated our contracts with your home, health, and auto insurance providers, and have even received authorization from your employer, utility company, and bank to help build A Better You(tm) for tomorrow. I have been assigned as your personal advisor, and with my introduction would like to welcome you to the A Better You(tm) community. One thing of concern that I recently monitored with your smart bulbs is that the bathroom light has been utilized above the normal range. a). If you have been having problems with your digestive functions, I can let doctor stanley know and set up an appointment for you. Your employer will not need you next thursday. b). If you are concerned about hair loss, I can even find the best deal on Rogain sales near your area. c). If your excessive use of the bathroom light is another matter, please contact me immediately. I am here to help. (please note: failure to communicate and/or comply with the service agreement fully explained in the A Better You(tm) EULA may affect your Life-Viability(tm) score, credit rating, deductables and contract acessability, employment status, and/or any other 3rd party contract affliated with A Better You(tm). I'd like to have an IP enabled thermostat in my house that I could set/control from my android phone, iPad or PC as well as the regular thermostat, but there's no way in he'll that I would want it to be on or accessible from the Internet. Security is just not there for that sort of thing.

I have a Black and Decker home energy monitoring system. One part goes on the meter and the other is a wireless monitor. When my wife bought it for me she said they had an Internet version, but she wouldn't buy it for me. She didn't want me calling on a trip to tell her to turn off lights.

Our electric meters are on the Internet. And now I hear the power company is charging different rates at different addresses. This is not based on a base line usage and surcharge for over usage. This is based on demographics.

I was offered a free (ethernet) thermostat (by our hydro provider), if I gave them the right to turn my AC off during 'peak hours'. No thanks.

And I don't even use my AC. But I would like to be able to arm/disarm my home alarm and set my thermostat from my phone. I just don't want anyone else to do it. |
