There is a steel plate that sticks up and the gate hooks onto, the bottom of the chassis hit the steel.

Major security screw-up.

They need someone who drives a Porsche on that security team, it never would have happened.

It is obvious that they never thought of that-

N!

Notice...as soon as it caught, you saw NO movement from front or rear wheels. I looked carefully at that video, I've always thought that the "Beast" was probably all-wheel drive. Nobody knows WHAT that thing is, or what is under the hood, but you can bet on reactive armor and more than 500 hp. The Secret Service is adamant about keeping details of that car secret- hence the sudden stop when the idiot driver high-sided it!

The SS is supposed to do run through scenarios on this stuff. The Limos aren't local, they are flown in by an advance team who runs the route and looks for vulnerabilities.

Either someone changed the plan or a TEAM screwed the pooch on the advance work. POTUS wasn't in that ride.....

OR...it was deliberate due to an undisclosed issue and he left the building in alternative vehicle.

The Beast was the second car, it turned around and went out another way. The one that got stuck was the old limo.

The van is just a curtain with wheels.

They just need to lighten the load by removing a few tons of ego, hubris and arrogance.
