I'll be lucky if I ride in July

Something to do with 2 years of doing nothing except Porsche related stuff

I'm almost caught up with my "2009 Honey-do List"

kind glad I couldn't make it this year. Sorry you guys have such a washout. I'm thinking of all the money I'd be spending on drinking while sitting out the rain.

Is it just me, or does Ferrari have the worst race stretegists in motorsports? They sit in 2nd & 3rd (not that they care about Massa). They call in their golden boy, Alonso, for intermediates. OK, that's probably based upon the fact that they see Button making up 3-4 sec/lap on the rest of the field, which is on full wets. Ferrari have to do something to get an advantage on Vettel.

But why do so if you know a downpour is about to break out? Do you not have any idea of the forecast? I mean, Penske used to have airplanes flying around the vicinity of the track warning the race team of impending precipitation. Does Ferrari not have that capability?

So they go to intermediates, and then have to switch back to full wets. So they went from 2nd to 9th. Brilliant.

And now it's raining so hard, the race has been red flagged. So a TON of rain has come down, not just a little bit.

In the meantime, Vettel only changes tires once (to replace his wets with another set). And does so only dropping him back to 3rd, which then advances him back up to P1 as the other 2 guys in front also changed their tires.

Yes, they blew it once again.
But they're still doing better than ham-bone, who is really showing his true character lately.

MELT-DOWN.............................

I thought both of Hambone's incidents were racing incidents. I can't hear what he's saying, as it's ridiculously loud in my house.

Lap 5: safety car comes in, racing starts.

Lap 5: ham-bone tries to force his nose where there isn't room and refuses to lift even though he should, webber refuses to back off and let the golden boy past and they spin.

Lap 6: ham-bone forces his way past his team mate.

Lap 6: ham-bone tries to force his way past shumi, who invented that move.
Shumi doesn't flinch and ham-bone has to back off.

lap 8: hambone tries to force his way past button and he says no freaking way and put him into the wall where he belonged.
That didn't take long.

Obviously other drivers have decided they are tired of his antics and to stop letting hambone have his way.

3 laps of actual racing and three incident investigations by the stewards regarding ham-bone.
The golden boy shines no more.

I thought that was hard racing. But that's just my 2 cents (American).

Wow what a finish! Not bad for basically a half race due to weather! Epic last 20 laps, Canada delivers again!

Where can I see the last part of the race? I did tivo the next show just in case they ran over, but that didn't get the restarted part of the race. Bummer. Any ideas where to see that part of the race. I haven't seen the outcome yet.

Yes it was a great race for action, right to the last few seconds...

Well worth the 2 hours under a poncho!

Can't believe my wife took it like a trooper and smile thought it. She even had pick Button for the win.

I'll post some pics tonight.

Lewis will be spending some time this week at The Glen in a NASCAR race car. Maybe he's just been prepping for THAT all along.....
