What is this driveway made of
I saw this on another thread. Nice car, but I would like to duplicate the driveway treatment. What is this?

I've seen pics of that car a hundred times and never thought about the driveway because it and the house are ugly. I don't see repetition of the pattern, so it's pretty custom, IMO. And yes, the stain has been heavily applied.

That finish looks like what happens when plastic curing covers are placed on concrete that has a lot of surface wetness/laittance. I kind of like the driveway...

I can't see a pattern either, which makes me wonder if it's stamped. The stain is way too intense, but I love that surface texture. Anybody know who to achieve it?

our backyard patio is stamped like that. they use several stamps/mats so you dont really see a pattern. the shiny, wet look is a sealant. the more coats they put on, the shinier it is. it is also very slippery when wet!

That will buff right out. We did a storm green on our kitchen floor back when my brother sold the stains. It looked nice, real easy to clean too. A reddish saltillo tile covering the drive would sell both the car and the house. Well maybe not the car.
Who's into grouting?

Similar to what I've got around my pool. Colored concrete out of the truck, and the impression is set using large rubber mats that they walk on to set the pattern once the concrete is firm enough. Next they dust on a second color powder which settles in and gives the depth. Power wash when dry, and apply sealer. Much cheaper than stamped. Not much more expensive than standard concrete.

I don't like the color and the shinny surface sealant but I do like the texture. Anyone seen concrete texture but natural concrete color without sealant?

I don't know if I specifically like the color or not. I figured the shiny was because the thing was wet. I definitely don't want a shiny, slippery-when-wet driveway, but a textured, subtly colored driveway might be nice.

It sounded pretty good until I read that it's slippery when wet.

It might just be a wet driveway. That photo looks like a pro shot it. It does not look like a "happy snap" from a point & shoot. I helped a photographer friend do a similar shoot. We had 5 guys with wet mops and a hose to get the driveway just the perfect amount of wet for the photo and it was a big driveway at a new car dealership.
An I have to disagree with Milt, I like the house. I don't care for the black wheels on the car but I would not call it ugly.

I am more concerned about the color treatment on those Fuchs.
