The mother seems pretty believable in her testimony. So you're saying the father is the bad guy?

Just got back from a week in FL - let me tell ya, this is like OJ all over again but this time the prosecution seems to be hitting on all cylinders.

All the evidence is circumstancial but is pretty much all evidence ? Too much is adding up but at worst she is an accomplace.

I think she is guilty but to put her as the killer? She had means, motive and opportunity but it all comes down to the jury and all it takes is one person not willing to leap...

I thought the story she made up about a nanny named Zanny was amazing. The thing is she had a script for Zanax! She would be going out and leaving her baby with Zanny the nanny...hmm...

What? They haven't established the means or a motive.

Exactly, The Defense is doing a Great Job discrediting the Prosecutions Evidence.

The News about Casey's Fathers Cell Phone calls to a Convicted Kidnapper should prove interesting

Not really saying he's the bad guy, but something's just not right with that entire family...I can't quite put my finger on it.

The mother seems to be the most sane out of the 3, but it still wouldn't surprise me if all 3 had knowledge of the girl being dead.

I obviously can't say who or who didn't kill her, it is most likely that Casey Anthony did kill her child, but I wouldn't be surprised if the parents had a hand in covering it up.

While this child killing gets all the publicity because Casey is good looking? In Portland Oregon a "mom" sits in lockup for strangling her (8-10 can't remember) young daughter.

Why?

Mom says she wanted to "protect" her daughter from sex abuse...

Sad cases.

Casey Anthony, good looking, where did that idea come from?

We made the mistake of watching the opening statements. We're now hooked. Doesn't hurt that I just had foot surgery and can't walk. I think that the prosecutors are pretty well organized and put on a pretty good case. Except, it is all circumstantial and and it's not clear to me exactly how she died. I think it is clear that she died/was killed by Casey and put in the trunk by Casey until it starting stinking and she had to find a place to dump the body. She lied throughout the month to everyone to cover up her daughter being missing. No other way around that.

I think the defense has a ridiculous defense story. I also think the family is dysfunctional but I do not think they are part of this. Dad finding his granddaughter drowned in the family pool, then showing his daughter the body and then them disposing of her? Not a chance.

This girl wanted to party, the kid was in the way and she was not willing to acquiece to mom by just giving her the kid. I think she accidentally killed her though and then tried to cover it up. She thought she could because she is so much smarter than everyone around her and could baffle them all with BS. Her story fell apart immediately when grownups (cops) got involved. And she is willing to throw her parents under the bus when her other story failed miserably (kidnapping)

Crap. The D messed up again and no trial for the day. Ok, yes I am hooked and a pathetic cripple for the next few weeks. I'll blame it on the meds. Yea, that's the ticket.

If the father is involved he would have come up with a better way to get rid of the body. He is a ex-cop.

I agree it was some kind of an accident but I believe she did it herself, but they can't prove it.

Has the defence said how/why the body was buried?

That's a fair point. I don't think he physically had involvement, but do you really think he had no idea what was going on during that time?

As an ex-cop and a father, you'd think he would have known that she was repeatedly lying about all that crap she was spewing.

The defense left out the details of what Dad and daughter did with the baby in their opening statement as I recall.

I don't quite get Dad. Would have thought that a former cop would have been a little more aggressive with his daughter, he was very passive. But remember, when she left with the kid for the last time she basically hid from her parents for 30 days staying with her squeeze and others, but not with the kid. I don't think their brains could allow them to go there, that their daughter would hurt her kid. Until after the car sat there for a bit that is.

When they found the notice that the car (the daughters) had been towed and impounded and they retrieved it, smelling like death, I would have thought that they would have called the cops right now. Hell he had to drive it home with the windows all open, his wife put dryer sheets in it, used febreeze all over it and it still stunk. Hello???? And daughter was telling them she was driving all over the place, in the car that had been impounded for the last 2 weeks. I think it freaked them out and Mom decided enough was enough and called the cops on her.

I hate to admit I spent some time watching yesterday, and it's pretty intriguing. The brother was on the stand, crying about not being included in the kid's birth, and seemed to totally be holding back some things, that neither the prosecution or the defense (at least yet), have followed up on. Paul may be right, this case is odd enough it wouldn't suprise me a bit if she's acquitted-reasonable doubt in this case is being created, remember when we all thought OJ was going down for sure?
