Best place in the world to live Nov-May?
Need ideas
![]() Priorities in order of importance: 75-85 degree sunny weather (SoCal is too cold) Relaxed visa requirements Access to international airport (need Montana access) Good food Great outdoor recreation opportunities No bugs Must not be an island (I would go crazy) Input?

I had the answer until you nixed the island thing.
Now all I can think of is Arid-zona. 2-son area maybe. |

No idea but I can narrow your search down a little.

Have you checked out New Zealand? It is a long way, and they do have some nasty bugs (no see ums) in some areas, and it is an island (but a really big two islands).
Maybe it won't work for you, but I love it there. Great classic car scene, get to learn to drive on the other side of the road. Fantastic variety of countryside, really nice people. Lots of fun stuff to do. Check it out! Richard |

I would say Kauai, but I don't think I can handle it for more than a few weeks. Somewhere equatorial, a bit above sea level sounds right, or a moderate location in the southern hemisphere.

What? You want to move out of here?
Still spend summers in the north country? If you don't mind the travel, look at Uruguay. About 700 miles of coast, lots of rivers, beef is big there. It is a flop of SoCal, about 33 degrees south and on the Atlantic. That should be summer time there. Italian and Spanish, European. Three capitol cities close by, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. |

There seems to be a lot of American transplants in Costa Rica.

I'd recommend Costa Rica,
Have race tracks so you can play with cars or bikes... great weather... great food.. The no bugs requirement rules that out though...

Northern Japan wouldn't meet his requirements for temperature but the south (way, WAY far away from the accident site) would. Look at a map.

Arizona - Nada... I would like a little culture to go along with the climate
Costa Rica - Hmmm..... was just there a few months ago and enjoyed it. It might be a bit too touristy New Zealand - Definitely worth considering Uruguay - Also worth considering. American visa friendly? As in, more than 90 days? Anyone ever been to the smaller cities in Columbia? I was in Bogota recently and didn't feel very safe there. Would like to avoid large metropolises

Bogota, it hasn't changed since the beginning of time, turn around and its gone.
Same for most of Brazil, thou its changing some, hahahaha Think Chile or Argentina, our winter their summer, love the people, lots to see, it used to be reasonable but its been awhile since I have been in those parts of the world. 90 day visa in Chile and then a 90 visa in Argentina.

For me: A little town in southern Italy or Progresso, Mexico, just minutes north of Merdia and you're on the beach...
