Kentucky Bourbon Trail
Anyone ever done part or all of it? Trying to plan a weekend with the better half and would rather get recommendations on places to stay and see from those that've been there, done that, rather than random websites.
Anyone have any suggestions?

My wife and I went to 3 places last year. Highly recommended. We had a good time and my wife is not a Bourbon drinker.

Maker's Mark in Loretto has the best tour, Buffalo Trace in Frankfort is also a good one. Another highlight for me was the Kentucky Cooperage in Lebanon where they make the barrels. I haven't been to any others though. Thay are all probably pretty good.

Labrot & Graham's Woodford Reserve is great. It produces about 1% of what Maker's Mark does.

Makers is a definite, Woodford is now as well. The cooperage sounds damn interesting...

Been on the Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace tours and would recomend them both. We attend the horse races at Keeneland annually in October and stay at the Marriott Griffin Gate they have the heavenly tempur pedic beds......best nights sleep we get all year.
