These 2 do it for me, along with others posted already.
I Will Be Here - Steven Curtis Chapman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1KsGtMZ9H In This Life -Braddah IZ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxLXmAiI6K4 These 2 songs were played at our wedding, and everytime I hear them, it still gets to me. They express beautifully how great it is to have someone special in your life. They also remind how I fall so short in letting my wife know this …. Hooray for grace. ![]() Craig

Only song I really care for by The Cranberries, but this song moves me. Also, just about anything by Natalie Merchant, something about her tone that gets me.

Emily has to be the one for me. A friend gave me a CD when it came out. What a nice feeling it is going home. Last edited by look 171; 07-29-2011 at 11:51 PM.. |

Now that I have a 3 and a 5 year old, time is flying by. I listen to that song and think about life a lot. My dad and myself have done exactly the same thing, work. Too bad we were born good looking instead of rich.

Treasure Planet. (I thought I was the only one) I can still barely watch that dvd with my boy and he's 14 now.
Dropkick has a song that does it for me. They hit you right in the middle of the "Warriors Code". If you listen to the album in sequence it gets you all liquored up and ready to go then punches you in the gut with "green fields of france".

2 Billy Joel Songs but 'And So It Goes' does it to me
In every heart there is a room A sanctuary safe and strong To heal the wounds from lovers past Until a new one comes along

I am surprised that the mods haven't banned you for the Manilow. While not a puddle, this one from Christina Aguilera proves that she can sing & does pull at the heart strings a bit: Ian

A great friend of mine who owns a bike shop use to race on our national team for a couple of years. Tough as they come. One day I went in there for a tire, he told me to make it quick, because he had to close early for once. I ask, what's the deal? He said, if I tell, will you promise to not tell any others. I Was thinking something bad had happened. He said, " I am going to a Barry Manilow concert". To top it off, his wife hates Barry Manilow, so he went by himself. That brought snot out of my nose while I was trying to hold myself back from laughing. Everytime I hear the name Barry I think of that situation. He still has his man card from all the years of putting the hurt on us during the training rides.

A few from my favorite band, Porcupine Tree.
Any fan of Pink Floyd should like this homage. This one highlights how all the tech these days doesn't make kids any happier. The old couple reminds me of my parents. This one always gets me at the line: "My David don't you worry This cold world is not for you So rest your head upon me I have strength to carry you" |
