I did not know that.
So a 1000W transducer in 1.5 liters of liquid will clean like a mother**%@er...

This is my current spoon-cleaning table:
![]() After things get out of the ultrasonic cleaner, I blast them with an air gun, then toss them in the vat of gun oil to sit overnight. I have a separatory funnel and a filter setup for cleaning the oil about once every six months. Water starts to collect at the bottom of the oil vat over time.

We always used aluminum foil to verify that the ultrasonic cleaner was ultrasonicifating. Hung a 1" wide strip into the bath and timed how long it took to perforate - usually only a few minutes for the lab-type units we got from VWR.
It seems like a test like that would be a way to check if whatever transducers you had were "good enough".
