This is really cool. Guy puts iPhone inside his acoustic guitar.
".......... these crazy shapes that the guitar string seemingly takes on is caused by the rolling shutter effect of the iPhone's camera (when digital camera's take a picture they actually scan over a frame either vertically or horizontally. Basically, not all parts of an image are recorded at exactly same time and some parts are left playing catch up.)"

The same type of thing happens when you take a picture of a airplane propeller when the engine is turning. It make for strange prop photos.

Aliasing causes some crazy effects. To prevent aliasing, the sampling rate of the capturing/ measuring device needs to be at least twice that of the object being sampled.
