...... So coming in this morning listening to Howard Stern on Sat radio. I caught the end of a long interview with some chick. He then asked her to sing one of her new songs (while playing the piano)

Suddenly this incredible voice and song was pouring out of my stereo. Very emotional and she was singing her guts out, total abandon. I could not believe who it was when she finished.............UFB.............could have knocked me over with a feather.

I guess I'm "guilty" of not listening to her because of the way the media tries to shove everything down our collective throats these days. That and if she didn't dress like a Carmen Miranda/David Bowie clown all the time people would probably be more open to listening to her before judging her.

I saw an article a while ago in some magazine (People?) about Lady Gaga. I guess she has a serious performing arts background, and she was focused on classical through much of college. Somewhere along the way she figured out that she could make more money as a pop star, and so she consciously reshaped her image to fit what she thought would be successful (and get headlines). So when you see her wearing an outfit of raw meat in the tabloids, keep in mind that she has most likely done the calculus to determine that this is the best way to get her name into the media, so more people will buy her stuff.

It's in general not my kind of music, but she is definitely talented. She is also an excellent promoter and excellent at business. My primary hope is she save some of the money and that she stays off durgs.

If ya saw SNL last week you would have heard her sing two songs - one was typical GaGa but the other was very good. The chick has some pipes. She can sing fo sho.

On some of her albums, if you listen to the little tracks between the big hits, you'll find the songs where she sings, and she does indeed have a Voice. She is talented at many things, the spectacle and shock act is the most profitable but the rest of it is there.

That was a good interview. She seems pretty cool and she's talented. She got the butt end of the ugly stick but I digress. Now-- the chick from Pomplamoose is cute but she stares at the camera too much in her videos and it makes me slightly uncomfortable. I like turtles.

howard stern's show puts out an incredible amount of great music.

i'll see your gaga gay points and raise you one cindy lauper..lauper has done some fantastic music in his studio. when she sang the blues!! with the young guitarist..amazing.

i admit, gaga was mind blowing. the lady has pipes. she sings like an angel.

(jewel is another howard stern show big hitter.)

i wish they put out a compelllation. but i dont see it happening.
