A officer gets it right

It is a nice change from all the "other" cop vids

Yes that was a super sweet cop. If it is an open carry state why did he have to check the weapon? Was he looking for a donut in the chamber or possibly soft serve ice cream. I did not see a reason or probable cause to look or confront him. I carry in Texas where it must be concealed. I just got back from Saint Lucia where where we met a lot of Brits and they went CRAZY about American gun laws."our police don't even carry guns"

A lot of CA police agencies are directed by the local DA to confront any open carriers and check the gun to make sure it's unloaded to be in compliance with the law. It's outrageous and I predict a lawsuit will get this fixed so law-abiding citizens can no longer be stopped and harassed without probable cause.

I saw this video posted in the other thread. I may be wrong but it just doesn't feel authentic to me. It almost feels staged or scripted.

I think open carry in Cali must be unloaded ... you can have a loaded mag ready to go though

Yes, it has to be unloaded, which is the cops' excuse for stopping OC'ers. They claim they need to check the chamber to make sure it's unloaded. Unreal.

One more reason not to go to California.

It is becoming less of a rare occurrence. The only places things are becoming worse are typically LA...
