Songs that leave you in a puddle of tears.

So to speak.
One of my favourite clips too. Not a dry eye in the room.

I'm generally not one for the sappy stuff but Cash's version of Hurt is stellar. It's hard to believe it wasnt written for him. However, think Sad Kermit does a great version too.

How's this for sad?

"Last Kiss" by J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers later covered by Pearl Jam. Can't forget "Seasons In The Sun" by Terry Jacks either...

John Denver's "Thank God I'm a Country Boy." Tears, but not necessarily out of sadness. In college we would play that song in the locker room after every win, and only after a win. I don't know who started that tradition or when. Sometime during senior year you'd come to realize that you'd only hear that song a handful of times in those circumstances.

Happy tears...my Daddy used to melt when this came on the air and he would sing it to me...then this was one of the first songs I heard on the radio when Charlotte was born (now nearly 14). Still has me reaching for the tissues .
