A lot of cars out there for the rain today, just a few for view. Some of these were taken in the rain

It is amazing what people will do with a poor old 914...

I see those stupid dolls at 'Murican Iron shows all the time, and now Porsche guys are doing it? That is more stupid than planking! Why would a midget be looking at the tire anyway????

Red-beard, that is a real 904. It was featured in Pano a while back (or maybe it was Excellence).

Curious about the first car on the top of page and also the green car about 6 pictures down. Wish I had known this was going on, I would have tried to make it down.

You mean the only Glocker with a rear-engine like a 356? And the 356 Carrera GT?

I was serious. That door isn't properly fit and the curve at the front is from a 914. I guess I'd need a better picture. If that is a 904, it looks really poorly made.

Compare this:

to this

Look at the front of the door. Look at the air intakes. Look at the fit of the front hood.

Of course, I could be wrong...

James, I should have taken a picture of the flyer on the glass, I think it said something like Butzi's original, first build.
It's there every year and I don't think it would get front row parking and be so well recieved if it was just a ratty poorly built kit car.

Have you ever seen the welds on the orginal 917 frames? Porsche was not into looks back then. These were fiberglass bodies made in the same way they make spas today. Spraying chopped strand fiberglass into a mold. The body weights (and stiffness) varied terribly from car to car.

That silver car is over-restored.
