Anyone have a really big hair dryer ?

The flood waters have receded and I was able to get into my hanger to inspect my Cessna 180. The airplane was out of license so it was uninsured. Next week we start the long trip back to airworthiness.
With any luck she'll be flying again by this time next year.
Wish me luck.

The water under the nose came out of the exhaust when I turned her over. Yikes!!!

Well, the good news is that it's still there and not washed away. Good luck with the resto!

Sorry to see that, but at least there was no structural damage (it looks like). Hope you get it back in the air.

Wierd, I had no idea they had that kind of flooding in Corona. I guess the news was too busy showing cars driving through a puddle in the middle of a busy street to show the serious stuff.

good luck, if anyone can get that thing fixed it's you.

You were probably looking at an STC anyway to comply with the 0-lead avgas soon, correct?

Just saying - it sucks but if you'd been planning on the upgrade for a while maybe it won't be much worse...

Oops
it looks like Jim was using my computer again.

As I was saying, I've spoken to a couple of aircraft mechanics and they seem to think that rebuilding a push rod, flat six is beyond my skill set. Oh well.......

Phase one (whining) is over. Now phase two, the recovery begins.
A stream cleaner, vacuum, 18 man hours, 3 cheese burger combos and the mud is gone.
Thanks to Jesse and Alberto, good friends are priceless.
