Food Names Translated

We have a pic thread of what's for dinner, so why not a thread on what they call certain food items vs. what they really are...

for example:

Crostini = toast

Calamari = bait

Isn't that like a good recipe for cockroaches?

The old mutually exclusive type of thing.

Yep, from an old recipe book. Basically, just extremely rich, Very tasty cream gravy, you decide what meat to put in it, and how fast you want your arteries to harden....:>)

If interested, I'll pm the recipe to you. Pretty simple really.
