#1 of fifty? Let's go racing!

Dunno about others here, but I gotta respect that...mid ohio crash.

Mustang Boss 302S with VIN 001 crashes on the track

Paul, seriously.... don't you have better things to do with your life than antagonize Porsche owners? Is this what old age comes down to for you?

Isn't that the one that the guy in Texas bought (dealer didn't realize that it was special), then sold on ebay because it was collectible?

Nope...that was #1 of the street Boss 302. He got what he was looking for in exchange for that one. Another car for track days & gatherings, a collector getting #1.

This one is number one of 50 built for the track...not street legal. Still, some purchased as "dead cars"...never to turn a wheel in competition.

Just saying I was impressed with this owner, having the means to use the car what it was built for despite it bearing the #1 VIN.

Motion...no antagonizing intended. I'd have felt the same if the car was a Porsche, a BMW, whatever. Your emotions are your own.

Sure, go ahead and hide behind that.

I'm trying to figure out if this is more or less tragic than the loss of "Transformers Edition" Camaro, SN 0001 which was lost in a horrific trailer-park fire I believe back in '08 or '09.

Like all race cars I'm sure that VIN number will be rebuilt.

Yep...if you'd read the article, you'd know it's soon to be back on the track...

Thanks for the great pics, yettibone. Way cool, for sure.

I thought you'd like those. It's the least I could do for your keeping us Porsche enthusiasts up to speed on every g****mn thing that has to do with a f***ing Mustang.

Still driving your beetle? Which of those cars in the pics you posted is yours? Man, I'd love to be as cool as you...but...

Good one, Jeremy Clarkson.

I think the Boss 302s old and new are cool, with that new Coyote motor. Much better than the pushrod Chevy. However, it is no Porsche.

Of course not. It's a Ford. It'll never be as cool as a well sorted 944, which of course is the ultimate Porsche.
