More or less took the shot because it was a black Audi, but I would never park my nice car right up behind a pickup at a Lowe's or Home depot, if the lot was near empty I was not there to buy socks and underwear. And I am not a dick, if I though I was in any danger of dropping something on his car, I would have moved. That air conditioner would have left one hell of a ding in his hood. I complimented his car anyhow, this guy, not necessarily a db.

Byron - You could have just picked it up and moved it over a little.

I guess that makes me one too. While I don't go parking in handicapped spots, I will park on similar lines in the 911, to give a lot of space between the car next to me.

I don't see a problem with the above, short of maybe not having a placard. It's not like he's taking up multiple spaces and those lines look like they are there to give space for handicapped people to get in or out.

Understood, Dave. But seeing as how that Pepper wagon is in a handicap spot, it's not like he's going to have any neighbors to give him door dings, anyway.

That's true. Other the not so great parking job, not sure how he is DB if he was legally allowed to park there.

OK, maybe not a DB, as he wasn't selfishly inconveniencing anyone else. But certainly qualifies for a crappy-a$$ driver/parker award.

Do you know 100% that he was not supposed to park there? Looks like temp tags. Here and other states (maybe all), have permanent handicap plates. Maybe the temp registration indicates handicapped. And so what if he's young.

I had knee surgery at my senior year in HS. Private school at the top of a hill. Student parking was at the bottom. It was a pain to try and get up the hill on crutches, leg mobilized, wearing a backpack full of books. I was entitled to a temp handicap placard, but turned it down. On flat parking lots I felt I was young enough to get across the lots. My school gave me permission to park in the handicap spot at the top of the hill. I don't remember if they actually gave me something to stick on my dash, but one day there's a "karma police" ticket on my window. Some thought I was a DB for parking there illegally, but I was allowed.

If he was illegally parked, then yes a DB. If he was allowed to be there, then he just sucks at parking.

IMO. He's a DB either way for driving a POS SUV + not being able to park it.

So we're back to where I started. I'm a DB for parking my 911 over lines in corner spots in garages, to prevent door dings. Gotcha. The lines are there to try and prevent people from squeezing in, since a full spot was not possible.

fred,
when I'm making a run to pick-up a load of stuff i always"pull" in bed out..easy access to truck bed etc. then the only worry i have is not getting hit by some DB trying to find 2 spaces to park in! nice pic though (LOL)

Went to my Favorite steak house last night, and saw this douch-bag,

I was able to figure out which clown at the bar it was.

I thought of this thread the other day but didn't have my camera on me. I was sitting in my car in a parking lot of a local garden/nursery store. I was waiting in the car, as one of my kids was asleep and the wife ran into the store to do some shopping. A woman in a ML 350 pulled into the parking lot. The first "spot" was one of those 1 & 1/2 spots. But the full parking spot was blocked off by a large traffic cone. So the woman took a quick look at the lot, which was admittedly pretty full but you still can't see every spot from the driveway, particularly when you only expend 0.3 seconds to take a glance, and proceeded to slip next to the traffic cone, utilizing that 1/2 spot next to the curb to allow her in.

Now, usually a traffic cone in the middle of a parking stall in a retail store parking lot is left there by someone who works in said establishment, rather than a random patron trying to save a space, right? And usually people put traffic cones in places for reasons, right? But somehow this woman ignored this piece of (what I thought to be) common sense, took the path of least resistance and parked the first place she could. Or heck, maybe she's the one who left the traffic cone there from the last time she was at that store.
