50cc bike, probably some douchebag kid thinking he's cool for parking like that...
After I left, I regretted not kicking the bike on its side...

This is my boss at work parking his Volvo so close to my car that I had to get in through the passenger side...
I did not confront him because I know myself. I'd have a hard time confronting him in a nice way...
If he does that to me again, all bets are off...

True dat. Around here there tend to be large areas between handicap spots. They're usually almost a car width with yellow stripes. It's ok for bikes to park in the yellow stripes, but inside the clearly marked handicap spot - total bag o'douche.

I doubt it.
No disabled card...
Disabled people get a card over here, to put behind their windshield.
This guy had nothing, probably just parked there to go swimming. (It's a public parking next to the communal swimmingpool)
Very few disabled people ride bikes, what are the ods?

Im pretty sure I'd have been forced to 'relocate' that bike somewhere else. Like the middle of the road. Or nearest pond.

Around here all bikes can park anywhere they can fit - sidewalk, under awning, etc. - which is always closer to the entrance than the best handicap spot. No excuse for a bike to take one of those handicap spots, proper ID or not.

Not wanting to be insensitive, but how can you have a disabled permit and be able to ride a bike?

I saw a guy at Neptune's Net a couple years back. Rode a CBR600RR. Had some congenital deformities of his arms. If you saw him on the street (not on the bike) you'd have given him a handicap placard.

There are lots of ways. Being deaf qualifies for a permit where I live. I have a friend that needs hip surgery and can't walk a long way but can drive a bike.

Where I live permits are issued at your doctors discretion.

Out of ignorance, I have to ask why a person that is deaf should qualify for a 'front row parking' placard.

Could have a heart or lung condition and not be able to walk far.

Year's ago at a DE day at Road America, some fellow modded his own car and drove the snot out out of it. Now the mod's were much more than what you would first think... hand control's as he was a paraplegic. After a group of us went out for din, here he's parking in a normal spot (NOT HANDICAP), moving around, setting his own wheelchair up like its nothing. Very inspiring and class individual.

I was shocked when I heard it. Who knows? Maybe you tell your doc that it's hazardous to walk in a parking lot when you're deaf?

I can't believe this either. I thought it was a legitimate question though. Is it more hazardous than being behind the wheel of a 4000# missile cruising at 65mph and not being able to hear what's going on around you?
